My formal training is in forensic photography.  After retiring from a 31 year career as a fire fighter and fire investigator I have turned my interests to fine art photography.  Today instead of photographing fire scenes I have turned my talents to capturing images of the beauty that is all around us.  For me one of the great things about photography is that it makes one slow down and really see what you are looking at.  I am constantly amazed by what is going on around me when I take the time to look at it.

Having spent much of my life wandering around and photographing the Pacific Northwest I decided that Wandering 101 Photography would be the perfect title for the collection of images that I have been allowed to capture in the course of my travels.  Highway 101 wanders from Washington State down the Pacific Coast to Southern California—providing fantastic images to be captured in one’s memories forever.  I have been given the opportunity to visit almost all of the United States, Western Canada, Mexico and a little bit of Europe but I always end up back in the Pacific Northwest and Puget Sound.

There is no place that I have been that can compare!
