Marcia Hildebrandt

Fused Glass

Marcia is a Northwest native who discovered the joy of glass work in 1997.  Beginning in stained glass, she moved on to creating mosaic stepping stones, tables, pots, and pictures framed in vintage windows. She found there is a lot to be said for garden art and infuses color in her mosaic work both for the indoors and especially the outdoors.

After a few years of mosaic work, Marcia discovered glass fusing. Currently she is creating one-of-a kind glass dishes, mobiles, faces, and necklaces.

Marcia still does mosaic work away from the gallery , primarily for personal friends and family . One of her pieces was photographed and used as the front of the Trident Seafood's Christmas cards in 2004.

Aside from the few community center courses Marcia has taken on fused glass she has no formal Art education . She is a self taught (and still learning) artist. "The possibilities are endless with fused glass and so is the learning curve
